Forged in Tradition
Master Hiroshi and his team are Japanese bladesmiths working from their traditional
workshop in rural Japan. Surrounded by old stone walls and fire-lit forges, they still follow
timehonoured techniques: handforging, hammering, hardening, and sharpening each blade
by eye and feel.
Philosophy of the Blade
Guided by the Shi-Jin philosophy – strength, nobility, and the fierce spirit of a lion – Hiroshi
forges every Lion Blade knife as a functional tool and a personal statement. The marks of
the hammer, the balance in the hand, and the final edge are all carefully controlled, giving
each knife its own character.
Message from the Master
“A good knife must have both strength and heart. When I forge Lion Blade knives, I think of
the lion’s spirit – calm, powerful, and precise. The steel remembers every hammer strike.
That is why no two knives are ever exactly the same.”
